CFC SUPPORTS LOCAL AND WORLD MISSIONS |
Missions Director: Pastor Jonathan Michalski Pray about your part in the Great Commission: Matthew 28:19-20. Following are the missionaries and organizations who are supported by Christian Faith Center: Pastor Paulus Lau (left) and Kasia Smith (U.S. Rep) Aaron's Rod Ministry in Indonesia
Aaron's Rod ministry strives to spread the Gospel to the people of Indonesia through the distribution of Bibles and the building of educational systems. Darrell & Sandy Blatchley, Philippines
Current Family Circus Newsletter Darrell and Sandy Blatchley are involved full time in child evangelism. Through the Family Circus Children's Ministries, they use drama, puppets, clowns, mascots, and object lessons including Gospel illusion. The Blatchleys have written six children's church quarterly lesson books which are being used in many countries. These lessons are appropriate for both church and street ministry. Their target age group is 4 - 14. Dale & Janice Brueggemann, Eurasia
Dale and Janice Brueggemann direct Eurasia Education Services, which supports Bible school development throughout Eurasia: Writing resources, organizing local and regional training and development seminars, and providing on-site educational consultation for new and developing Bible schools. The Brueggemanns believe in the multiplying effect of Bible school ministry. As they train pastors and church planters, those pastors move into the harvest field and begin what produces a geogmetric rate of growth in Pentecostal ministry. Pray for the Bible schools in the areas they serve: North Africa, the Middle East, the former Soviet Union, Central Asia, and Southern Asia. Robert McKay, Ukraine
Don & Janice Scheske, Global Colleagues/Network 211
Don & Jan Scheske are five-term veterans of missionary ministry in the Latin America & Caribbean Region, serving in the Caribbean basin countries of the Commonwealth of Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Kits, and Haiti. Their last two terms have been spent in Belize, Central America. Recently they returned from their field of service and accepted a ministry position with Network211 (twenty-one/one), a new cutting edge evangelism ministry that uses “21st century technology to communicate the 1st century gospel.” Don says, “I have never been more challenged in my missionary career as now going into my sixth term. During the past 34 years, my wife and I have served in five countries experiencing tremendous results for God’s Kingdom. However, this last term the Internet takes us to 'ALL' the world like Jesus commanded. Every nation has access to the super Internet highway.” The Scheskes are thrilled by this opportunity to serve with their colleagues globally. With the help of a coalition of volunteers, churches and ministries, their goal is to reach 10 million in the next decade. Please join with them! Jim & Brenda Strysko, Zimbabwe
Jim, Brenda, and Christi (12) returned to Zimbabwe in April 2007. Currently Jim is working with AG pastors in training, Africa Oasis project on drilling wells for churches, and Convoy of Hope providing sand biofilters in rural areas. ZIMBABWE lies north of South Africa and west of Mozambique. It is about the size of Montana and is home to 11.3 million people. The life expectancy is 37 years. The Shona represent nearly 75 percent of the population, the Ndebele, 25 percent. The Assemblies of God in Zimbabwe includes about 75 worship centers. A Bible school is currently training 30+ students for future ministry. The Fellowship also promotes a variety of social programs and outreaches. Jim and Brenda Strysko minister in churches, and Jim encourages and provides training and tools for pastors. Brenda is working to develop sustainable HealthCare Ministries, the compassion arm of Assemblies of God World Missions. “We have both always had a heart for missions,” Jim says. “I for the development of church-planting pastors and Brenda for medical missions as a vehicle to bring the gospel to people.” Jim served as a Christian Education director at Christian Life Center in Missoula, Montana before planting Valley Life Assembly in South Deerfield, Massachusetts (John Blunt, pastor). “Church planting in New England may prove to be preparation for working in church development in Zimbabwe,” he says. “We’re excited to see God providing ways to plant and encourage churches in Zimbabwe.” Brenda is a Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Midwife and has worked in several specialized environments, including labor and delivery and childbirth education. “We knew we wanted to minister in an area where the population was medically underserved,” she says. She is involved in training in HIV awareness and prevention and home-based care and in training in young women's health issues. “We’re committed to serving God in our generation,” Jim says, “by living in Christ's kingdom and helping others live there too." Cultural differences, poverty, language barriers, the collapse of the Zimbabwean economy, the AIDS pandemic, and isolation are challenges on the mission field. Please pray that Jim, Brenda and Christi would be used of God to make a difference in people’s lives for eternity. PRAYER POINTS: For security for Christi, Brenda, and Jim during these challenging days in Zimbabwe. To be able to help, encourage and equip pastors to plant and pastor. To be a catalyst in a church planting movement. Training of Home Based Care workers who will be able to train others, especially to help those living with HIV/AIDS. Tom & Esther Fritz, Gabriella (15), Tommy (11), and David (6), Nicaragua
